to bring together any person descended from Paul Vachon and Marguerite Langlois by marriage, adoption, or personal interest.

foster and strengthen ties between descendants through cultural, educational, social and heritage exchanges and activities.

promote the motto of the coat of arms, which expresses pride and a sense of belonging to the Vachon and Pomerleau families.

Honour the memory of ancestors by building up an archival collection through genealogical and historical research and the publication of a newsletter, a genealogical dictionary, historical works, and photo albums.

The Association of the Descendants of Paul Vachon (Vachon and Pomerleau Families) is a private, not-for-profit corporation. It was founded on November 9, 1996, in Saint-Joseph de Beauce under Part III of the Companies Act. It adopted a set of rules, a coat of arms and unveiled a commemorative plaque in honour of ancestor Paul Vachon.
